  29. Such comparisons are really tough to gauge because without a benchmark case,
  30. they vary tremendously and are completely unquantifiable. Personally, I see
  31. speedups of around 8x on the Alpha versus my fastest Amiga, but I have always
  32. been very efficient with scene design. I know people who routinely create
  33. very inefficient scenes that might exhibit 30x speedups on an Alpha. But you
  34. can be certain that regardless of the ratios, an Alpha is much faster than a
  35. Pentium which is in turn much faster than an Amiga.
